Reconciliation Place

During the school holidays we visited Reconciliation Place:

Reconcilliation Place

Ngunnawal - the name of the Canberra Indigenous people.

The strange stones are actually yam's called Kwi'ith Man and Woman Yam.

The wind through the reeds made an amazing noise, the reeds and the trees were an interesting contrast to the deep blue sky. The official name of this art is Fire and Water. Reconciliation place runs from the National Library through to the High court, with various art works and written material describing what Reconciliation is all about. For more information about the other art in Reconciliation Place, click here.

In the next few posts I will cover the following places:

Old Parliament House, New Parliament House, Questacon, , Glass works, Cockington Green, High Court and Floriade.
